The idea for creating "Fish Like A Kat" came about quite a while ago, but it wasn’t until my husband and I moved across the country for a career opportunity, that the timing felt right, because we were relocating from Pennsylvania to Texas; home of some of the largest bass in the country.
My husband and I have both been fishing since we were young teenagers, although, neither of us come from a “fishing family”. Raised in the same hometown suburb of Pittsburgh, we met in junior high when we were just 11 years old, but it wasn’t until later in life that we started dating. One of the biggest attractors for the both of us to each other? Fishing. Endless hours of fishing. No matter the weather, the distractions, the setbacks, the occasion – neither of us ever tired of fishing together.
A little more than a year after we started dating, one afternoon while we were getting ready to launch our kayaks onto the lake in Raccoon Creek State Park, Ryan took a knee and asked me to be his fishing buddy for life – and the rest is history!
Now that we’ve settled into our new home, I thought it was about time to get to work on my entrepreneurial aspirations; so here we are.
Fish Like A Kat is a place that I hope will provide some insight, education, and a bit of entertainment! The intention for the future, is building a collection of fishing-related content, all geared towards like-minded, avid anglers.
